Unfoonk feat. Blac Youngsta – Silent
Young Stoner Life Records’ signee, Unfoonk, unveils passion-punched versatility with the release of his latest single, “Silent” featuring Memphis’ hip-hop savant Blac Youngsta. On this latest release, Unfoonk seamlessly weaves his unique take on gut-wrenching street anthems with poetic proclamations of love, ferociously wearing his heart on sleeve. “Silent” bubbles with amorous lyrics, patented with syrupy 808 beats, while embroidering undertones of harmonically enriching vocals. The two rappers’ raw and resounding cadence makes “Silent” a doting bop.
“This song is special to me,” Unfoonk states when asked about the inspiration behind “Silent”. “I want to show the fans that I am versatile and can switch it up. When I had first made the song both Slime [Young Thug] and Gunna wanted to hop on it. Everyone around me kept telling me ‘this is the one.’ Blac Youngsta was sent the song and hopped on it and then told me to drop it ASAP. I’m ready for my fans to hear it”
Last summer, Unfoonk unleashed his full-length project, My Struggle that captivated his audience with candid yet genuine style and delivery and flaunted notable features from fellow YSL artists Young Thug, Gunna, Lil Keed, Lil Duke, and FN DaDealer along with Future and Chicago-native G Herbo. From My Struggle, Unfoonk also dropped the music video for “Running Out of Patience” feat. Future, which has garnered him over a million views and further enlarged his fanbase. Always knowing that his future existed in the realm of rap; Unfoonk drew inspiration from Young Money, Cash Money and Andre 3000 to create what he calls “pain music” — detailing his relatable life experiences and struggles through his lyrics. Just months ago, Unfoonk was confined to the state of Georgia. After being granted access to travel from his attorney, Unfoonk has touched down in more cities in the past couple weeks than he has in his lifetime. He has graced the stages of Rolling Loud in Miami and Lollapalooza in Chicago, hearing fans scream along to his and his brother’s lyrics.
