RubyRay – Monsters
RubyRay has released visuals for “Monsters”, the first single off of his soon to be released debut EP, “Dreams Money Can Buy”. Director/Videographer, Kyle Anderson, was entrusted to bring RubyRay’s specific vision to reality. The visuals also showcase a pivotal point where the watcher will be seeing double in a moment most of us have probably dreamed of being able to do in real life. The video was shot in his second home, Lincoln Nebraska. RubyRay’s lyrical precision over the maliatic beat describes life lessons, loyalty, and struggle which is combined eloquently on the verses and hook laid by the Congo native. It takes a skilled artist to know how to use the tones and inflection in their voice to invoke a feeling in their listeners and RubyRay connects directly to the listener on Monsters. His moments of anger, calm, confusion and determination all melt together in an effortless symphony of word play, and with the visuals adding a look into his song, the combination seals the deal for music fans.
Monsters was produced by Fernado Lopez Chavez, Recorded at Reel Feel Studio in Orlando Florida with engineer Jalissa Seals, who also was part of the mixing process for the record as well as Peter James.
From his roots in Congo, Africa to his home now in the U.S. , RubyRay’s story is profound and meaningful. RubyRay has something most artists don’t, the ability to connect to a variety of fans in the world of Hip Hop and Rap. RubyRay has opened for Dave East, Chief Keef, Polo G, and PRE’s own the late Young Dolph and Key Glock. Recently, RubyRay charted on U.K Itunes at #20 with his song “Money Counter” ft. Ponce. He owns his style, and the way he lays out his truths on every line, RubyRay is able to paint pictures using his lyrical abilities that will make you want to hit repeat on any of his records. Production choices are also thought out smartly by the lyricist and play an important role in his choice of delivery on any of his tracks. The feel and the vibes must be cohesive inorder for RubyRay to be able to mold the production to his will and create a record that he proudly stamps his name on.
