OTB Fastlane – Bussin Behind Tint
Today, Houston’s hottest hip-hop trailblazer, OTB Fastlane unleashes braggadociously smooth bars and crisp beats with his new mixtape, Bussin Behind Tint. Fastlane’s latest project houses a variety of tracks ranging from rags-to-riches anthems to bouncing up-tempo club tracks. Bussin Behind Tint flaunts Fastlane’s musical versatility and embodies Houston’s trademark sound, blending expressive lyricism with simultaneously brassy and syrupy instrumentation. The standout track, “Walk” carries an unremitting swagger, featuring reverb-heavy drums with buzzing and funky synthesizers, overlayed with the Texas visionary’s unique raspy vocals.
Bussin’ Behind Tint showcases Fastlane’s unarguably dynamic delivery and affinity for storytelling. Throughout the project, the Houston rapper weaves in his life story, leaving nothing unsaid. When asked about the inspiration behind the project, Fastlane expressed, “The name inspiration of this tape comes from J-DAWG’s Behind Tint tapes. J-DAWG is someone who really inspired me. He’s also from the northside of Houston and was one of the latest rappers to put on for the north. He really helped to mold me mentally. The title emphasizes my actions. I’ve been riding behind tint hustling. This tape has a lot of storytelling. There are multiple vibes in it. I wanted to show the people my versatility. There is pain music, feel-good music, club records, etc. It’s a backstory of who I am all around. There’s something for everyone on this project.”
Earlier this month, Fastlane shared the recipe for success with his single and music video for “Million Stories” featuring fellow-Southern bar spitter and 4PF signee, Rylo Rodriguez. Fastlane’s limitless and undeniable versatility in both sound and lyricism has truly made him one to watch. Keep an eye out for more from Houston’s hungriest hip-hop emcee!

ABOUT OTB FASTLANE: Emerging from the streets of the Nawfside of Houston, TX, OTB Fastlane rose from poverty and strife. Going from sharing a bedroom with his four younger brothers to performing in arenas in front of thousands. He allowed the hardships of losing those he loves to jail, or the graveyard motivate him into a successful music career. Inspired by the hood and artists like J-Dawg, Juvenile, Kevin Gates, and Future, Fastlane delivers a unique sound offering. With a dynamic delivery, melodic flows, and influential hooks packed with powerful energy and a full raspy voice, he has a way of taking you on a journey through the hood realistically and lyrically. After years of grinding with his OTB team, Fastlane started the Don’t Miss Tha Bus (DMTB) movement alongside his best friend and manager P-Nut who was killed shortly into the success of his biggest single “Dawg Azz”. The single came off the heels of “Back Then” and “Haters” and quickly became the number 1 song in the city. OTB Fastlane launched a challenge to his single “Dawg Azz” that was backed by 97.9 The Box and garnered millions of impressions. The song blazed so much throughout the south that Boosie decided to bless the remix and showed up in Fastlane’s hood to film the video. After giving us a classic with Metro Mart Baby, Metro Mart Baby 2 is next in the series, delivering layers of sounds with lyrics that will make you feel the joy and pain of the streets. The project comes off the heels of his early 2020 release of 90 Day Dogg – featuring singles Yessir and My Bussin, both of which are currently heating up the Texas club scene. If you are not tuned into OTB Fastlane, now is the time to tap in. With his DMTB movement, his OTB team, being managed under the Lavish Ways Entertainment imprint, and being named as one of Texas’ top artists by Say Cheese, Fastlane is on track to move beyond the Texas scene.
