This song is about the struggles of racism when being a “foreigner” and relates this with the struggles of getting into the music industry (“I’m not foreign to this sh*t, I been makin’ tunes”). Lings offers an insight of prejudice against your own people. He talks about how it’s your own people who put you down sometimes and acknowledges that we must unite together to battle hate. This song has received recognition from anti-racism supporters and people of colour around the UK, so it would be an honour to be shared, to help cement the strong message in the song.
